Ellen Patrick, Choral Representative

President

Ellen Patrick is a native Georgian, growing up in College Park, GA.  Since childhood she has been in choirs. Some of her fondest childhood musical experiences were hearing the ASO Chorus under the direction of Robert Shaw, and she has been a choral music fan ever since! A retired Pediatric Radiologist, she worked for many years at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Egleston.  She now works part time in the Dekalb County School System.  She and her family are members of Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church.

Tricia is a music professional holding a Bachelor of Music Pedagogy degree. After joining Harmonia Atlanta in 2016, she became the Choral Representative to the Board of Trustees, was elected as a Trustee, became Secretary of the Board, and ultimately was elected by the Board as President of Harmonia Atlanta. Tricia has graciously accepted the position of Secretary once again. She most recently taught piano at Berean Baptist Music Academy and lives in Lawrenceville with her husband, three sons, and rescued foster kittens.

Soprano Peggy Emrey has served as Harmonia Atlanta’s Board Treasurer since 2018 and has sung with the group for almost 30 years. She started singing in elementary school and has studied voice and continued to sing with a variety of choirs throughout her career. She has a special appreciation for what choral singing can do for the individual as well as the community and has enjoyed having the opportunity to contribute as a board member. She recently retired from the Information Technology field and is looking forward to more time to devote to music.

Ron Alston, Trustee

Ron Alston has sung in church, school and community choirs for most of his life and is excited to be performing with Harmonia Atlanta now. Professionally, Ron is the Not-For-Profit & Government Banking Leader for the Georgia Region of Truist Financial providing the full range of banking solutions to social service, educational, religious, health care and arts organizations in Metro Atlanta. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ron has lived in Atlanta for more than 35 years and is an active community volunteer serving on the boards of Drew Charter School, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, Partners for Home, Harmonia Atlanta and RSF Social Finance (Board Chair).  He is a 2008 graduate of Leadership DeKalb and a 2018 graduate of Leadership Atlanta. He and his wife Stacey are the parents of three grown sons.

Faye Gooldrick, Trustee

Faye Goolrick began singing soprano with Harmonia Atlanta’s predecessor, the DeKalb Choral Guild, in 1994. A Certified Interpretive Planner and the owner of Goolrick Interpretive Group, Faye consults on visitor services and visitor center development for the National Park Service and other public lands. Whenever she gets the chance, she recommends using music as a universal language for engaging recreational visitors in the diverse stories and cultures of our nation’s historic sites.

Kelly Hartnett joined Harmonia Atlanta (then the DeKalb Choral Guild) in 2017 when she graduated college. She served as choral representative to the board prior to her appointment as trustee in 2021. She holds a Masters in Science from Georgia Tech and has spent several years as an educator in the Gwinnett County School System, where she also sang with the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology ‘s faculty chorus. She has recently transitioned to the role of homemaker and lives in Lilburn with her husband and child.

Fallon Moliere, Board of Trustees

Dr. Fallon Moliere is a veterinarian in Decatur, Georgia. She grew up in the Chicago suburbs and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois. Dr. Moliere moved to Atlanta in 2011 to complete a research fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention before going on to the University of Georgia to complete her doctorate in veterinary medicine.

While her professional life is devoted to the health and welfare of animals, Dr. Moliere has always been passionate about music. She learned to play several instruments as a child and performed in various bands and orchestras. Today she still finds ways to incorporate music into her everyday life. She believes that music can educate, inspire and promote community and wants to share Harmonia’s message with Decatur. These days she spends her free time exploring the arts in Atlanta.

Barb Pettitt, Board of Trustees

Barb Pettitt has sung in choirs and choruses since age four, including a year studying voice at the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts.  She has sung with Harmonia and the DeKalb Choral Guild since 1987.  She served previously as Treasurer and President, and held a number of other posts for the organization during her ensuing years as Trustee Emerita.  She came to Emory in 1985 as a pediatric surgeon at CHOA and was chief of Pediatric Surgery at Grady for two decades. She is currently Director of Medical Student Education in Emory’s Department of Surgery.  She serves on several non-profit boards and national surgical education task forces, has three wonderful grown children and sings in the St. Bede’s Episcopal Church choir.

Lisa Redmon, Board of Trustees

Lisa Redmon joins the Harmonia Atlanta board having supported the chorus, and the preceding DeKalb Choral Guild, for many years.  Lisa’s love of music comes from years of piano lessons and playing the French Horn from middle school through college.  As principal of AE Redmon Consulting, Lisa works with non-profit and for-profit organizations improving their business systems and processes.

Max Cloe, Choral Representative

Max Coe (they/them) is a Soprano II and this year’s Choral Representative for Harmonia Atlanta. Max lives in Roswell and is an Archivist-in-Training pursuing their Masters in Archival Studies at Clayton State University. They had the privilege of 3 years of voice lessons as well as the musical tutelage of Dr. Tom at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School from 2012 to 2016. Max has enjoyed returning to the choral community and singing under Dr. Tom’s direction this past year and looks forward to many more years with Harmonia.

Rob Armstrong, Past President

Past President

Rob attended the University of Michigan where he studied for BMus, MMus and DMA degrees in vocal performance. After a period performing as a professional musician on the West Coast, he left the music field to pursue a career in business as a sales, marketing, and operations manager. After a corporate move brought him to the Atlanta area, he joined Harmonia Atlanta as a singer in 2005 and joined its Board of Trustees in 2008.
